[Solved] File format error

Postby ExSer0 » Thu May 03, 2018 6:53 pm

Hi, I'm pretty new to this forum, so forgive me if this is not the right place for this topic.
My main problem is when I try to open one of my .docx files I get the following error: "File format error found at
SAXParseException: '[word/document.xml line 2]: PCDATA invalid Char value 1
', Stream 'word/document.xml', Line 2, Column 578182(row,col)."

This is pretty important to me and I tried to use the methods suggested on older topics but I just cound't solve it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will share the link to my file, since it's too big to directly upload it here.

Please send me a PM with an email address to which I can send the repaired file.

This is a bug in AOO, but not in LO, when track changes is ON and a user deletes two comments each of which is attached to a range of characters.

See Issue 128356 - Track Changes and Annotations on text range can cause corruption. Applies to 4.x (all versions?)
LO 6.4.4.2, Windows 10 Home 64 bit

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
