Changing color of text

Post by k1benson »

In Writer, I have lost the color. How do I change the color of text after I have written and highlighted the word?

Use the character styles or the paragraph styles

Is the formatting tool bar visible? It is the one that shows the paragraph style and the font name and has a font color button near the right end. Try toggling View -> Toolbars -> Formatting.

I think I see the problem. There should be a 2nd line that has the font color icon on it. It is not showing. How can I have it show up on a 2nd line?

That was done, but it doesn't show up on the main screen. Only by choosing the >> and then choosing the font color.

You would be better off using a defined Style than using the toolbar to apply hard formatting. See Introduction to Styles.
