I have a folder of many Open Office files, with hyperlinks in the various files linking to other files in that same folder. When I click on a hyperlink in one file it opens the proper file, but does not close the first file. Is there a way I can make the first file close when the hyperlinked file opens?
Thanks,
Sheila

Re: Automatically close files?
Try to achieve this task by macros instead of the pure hyperlinks. A macro can open a file based on the URL information, and it can close the file, that the macro was launched from.Is there a way I can make the first file close when the hyperlinked file opens?

Re: Automatically close files?
I was hoping there was a shortcut for it, but I guess I will have to go the macro route.

Re: Automatically close files?
True. But It looks like another instance of OO opens when another document is opened from the hyperlink. I am not sure if that is so. I am very new to OO.
