[Solved] Two Fonts On the Same Line

Post by yonargi1 »

Is there a way to format two fonts on the same line. I have done this in the past with other equipment and I would like to do it again with the book I am typing. I would like the chapter titles to be printed on the same line with the chapter numbers as a space saving device. The chapter numbers would, of course, be in the background and in a lighter gray.

I have:
WPS Writer 10.2.9.5978
Windows 7

Define a Character Style for the second font.
Edit: Simple (as above) if you hand-number the chapters. Probably more complex (if it is possible) if you want to autonumber the chapters.

It's also easy if the chapters are autonumbered. Just use Tools > Outline Numbering > Numbering > Character Style to select the character style that you want to apply to the numbers.

What are "file types"?
somefilaname.txt
somefilaname.rtf
somefilaname.doc
somefilaname.docx
somefilaname.sxw
somefilaname.odt

They are different textual file types.

The .odt is one of the International Standard "Open Document Format" (= ODF) file types.

Apparently WPS Writer dos allow to save as "other format" but the documentation I found doesn't detail what those types may be. OP may get more specific advice from the WPS site https://www.wps.com/writer and go to Support.

There's an extension for WPS Office that allows you to save files in the PDF format, but natively WPS Office doesn't support it.
This forum is about Apache OpenOffice, not about WPS Office, so we may not be able to answer your question.
