I'm working on a 199 page document I created in word years ago. Everytime I move the mouse or scroll down on a page a yellow box opens and says something like "page 17/199 - section heading"
How do I turn this off?

I think this is controlled by the menu Tools -> Options, expand the OpenOffice list on the left, click General and remove the selection from Tips.
OpenOffice 4.1 on Windows 10 and Linux Mint
