[Solved] Numbering pages

Post by tcpeterson1 »

I have AOO 4.1.3 on MacBook Pro. OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
This is about numbering pages. When I click on Insert, then Fields, and last on page number, I don't get 1, 2, 3, and on in the footer. I get the wording Page Number on each page. How do I get rid of the words page number so each page would get its number by clicking on Insert, fields and page number?

Try removing the selection from the menu item View -> Field Names.

it worked on my computer and not on another one. The other one took the wording off but now it doesn't put the numbers in

Worked out answer. Format > Page > 1, 2, 3 in format. This allowed numbers to show in the footer
