Complex mail merging

Good day!

I am working with something that has something to do with mail merging.

I would like to insert multiple data in one page.

EG:

[reference number] [name]
[0001][AAAA]
[0002][BBBB]
[0003][CCCC]
[][DDDD]

I want it to have only 3 pages using reference number as my unique field. How to make the fourth row continued with the 3rd reference number.
I am currently stuck in using mail merge that will give me four pages.

As I understand it, mail merge is designed around repeating the entire merge document until all data records are exhausted. You can insert "Next record" fields yourself to merge data at whatever point you want, but if you want to make something like a catalog, where data records are repeated, you can't automate that with mail merge. You can use the report generator tool, or you can manually add enough "next record" fields and data fields to consume all the data in one pass through the document. If you decide to go that route, you can also use the data source toolbar "data to fields" to merge the data manually.
