How to enable autocorrect

I have selected "autocorrect while typing", however, it doesn't edit words as I type. When I type fast in class, it would be great if it could catch my slips. For example, if I type "examle", I would hope that it would be able to correct that word as I go, Why isn't it working?? I have learning disabilities and this would really help me a lot. Thank you!!

The English dictionary of the Autocorrect function is not contain the misspelled word "samle" on my Libreoffice 5.3.6. Check it in your office suite version. But you can add it to the dictionary.

Note:
The 'Autocorrect' function is not same as the 'Automatic Spell Checking' function...
