Sometimes a text document contains a column of carriage returns and I want to delete some of them. Formerly they would be highlighted when I selected them, but since updating to Neooffice 2017.3 the selected returns remain without highlighting. Selected text does get highlighted as before.
Can anyone tell me how to restore highlighting to selected returns?

Evidently no-one else had run into this problem. By chance I stumbled on a solution. Go to NeoOffice drop down menu > Mac options > Disable mac text highlighting, and click to turn it on. Now my empty paragraphs (containing a carriage return only) get highlighted as before.
