Hi
I downloaded and installed open office and added extension "Malayalam Dictation System".
Followed the instructions. I am able to see the menu "MalayalamSpeechRecognizer" and when i clicked the GUI window came.
Then i click start and nothing happening.
Any help?

Have you verified that your system meets or exceeds the various requirements/prerequisites as listed at https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/pr ... ion-system?
Did you follow all of the installation instructions on that same page? There's quite a bit more listed than simply double clicking the .oxt file, which, for most installations, is all that is required.
I also noticed that the problem you are mentioning was mentioned in the comments section, but dated back in March 2015

I done all the steps
Step 1: Installed OpenOffice Writer 4.1.3
Step 2 : Placed the said fonts in ‘fonts’ folder of windows
Step 3: In Tools -> Options ->Java -> Parameters added - Dfile.encoding=UTF8
Stpe 4: reopened the writer.
Step 5: The menu appeared “MalayalamSpeechRecognizer” .
Step 6: To dictate, clicked MalayalamSpeechRecognizer -> SpeechRecognition
Step 7: After few seconds, A speech recognition GUI appeared .
Step 8, clicked start
The Speech Recognition window and Alternate words windows shows, but not recording words in the editor
Any help?
