Hitting delete produced no result.
I could not find an option in the menu to delete them.

[Solved] Trying to remove random lines
These lines show on my document.
We tried to delete them
No option regarding deleting them with right click
Hitting delete produced no result.
I could not find an option in the menu to delete them. They might be read only. When I click edit file it asks me to save it and then whether it should update all links, and then they vanish, but they're still there and I can't delete them. I tried looking for "remove everything below this line" nonetheless I couldn't find it.

They are probably showing sections. Format > Sections ..., will show you if you have any. Search Help with sections for more information, or check the manual.
They might be paragraph borders - see [Tutorial] Automatic functions in Writer - enable / disable.
As a relatively new poster you will find much useful information in the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials, the up to date Writer guide and the Writer Manual. When a pop-up window opens, click the Help button for extensive help on that function - it is often more comprehensive than the manual.
If this solves the problem, please view your first post in this thread and click the Edit button (top right in the post) and add [Solved] in front of the subject.

They were sections. I went to Format > Sections and unchecked link and protect and after I could delete them. Thanks.
