[Solved] Java JRE needed for wizzard

Post by CasselloC »

I was trying to open the letter wizzard and it told me I had to install a Java JRE. I did that but it still show me the same message even after I closed and reopened the browser as it said to do. What do I do now? I am using a Windows 10 operating system and have the Open Office 4.3.1 version.

You must install a 32 bit version of Java and select it in OO setting /Tools /Options/ OpenOffice /Java. A 32 but Java can live beside the 64 bit Java already installed on your Windows 10.

Thank you. It took me a bit of searching to find out how to install the 32 bit version and it does not show 32 on the list of extensions, but I was able to get into the wizards now, so it must be there.
