[Solved] Returning to last working point in large document

I am revising and editing a very large document. My problem is that when I finish at a certain point, and go back after a period of time, it takes me ages to find where I left off, even if I mark the point well. Is there any provision in OO which could enable me to go back to the last finishing point without searching laboriously for it? Siarach

In /Tools /Options /OpenOffice : User Data enter your name and initials.

If you enter your user data as RoryOF mentioned, and save the document (check under File > Properties > General > Created ... to see that the data are shown there), then the next time you open the document, the view should be restored to what it was when the document was saved.

You can always manually restore the previous view by pressing Shift+F5

Sometimes, neither of those quite do what you want. In that case, you can insert a bookmark, or just type something unique (@@ for example) and use Edit > Find (or the toolbar) to search for that.

If I'm working on a large document, often in several locations, I often place a comment beside each location and use the Navigator to jump to the chosen location.
