I've looked at Help, but still can't work out how to find-and-replace paragraph marks. I've also tried searching for an existing topic on this forum, but haven't found anything relevant.
My apologies to all who read this, but it really would be helpful to know how this can be done. (It's so easy in Word!)
Thank you

Re: How to remove unwanted paragraph marks in Writer?
Do you want them removed or simply not displaying?
To remove single paragraph marks (blank lines) use /Edit /Find and Replace, Find ^$ and drop more options and enable Regular Expressions. Replace all.
To turn off the display, /View /Non printing characters

"Find ^$" means "in the Find box enter ^$" ; ^ is Shift 6 and $ is Shift 4philipt wrote:I want to remove them.RoryOF wrote:Do you want them removed or simply not displaying?

Thank you, Rory - I was using quite a small window and type size and hadn't noticed that the capital S (as I thought) was actually a dollar sign.
