[Solved] Footer not appearing when I print a document?

Hello! I've just recently started using Open Office and I am trying to print a 20 page document. Each page has a header and a footer. The footer contains a reference number, page number, and the date. However, when I print the document out, the footer doesn't appear. Does anyone know why this is, and how I can fix it?

Is it possible that your footer is beyond the bottom margin of your printer. Almost all printers have minimum margin requirements.

Hrrm I don't seem to be able to find this out anywhere, or how to move the footer up either.. still looking.

Right! Turns out that was the problem. Fixed it now.. always turns out to be something simple! Thanks John.

WHAT was the FIX? you did not specify? This just started happening, it use to work? same printer hp h470

The Paper format size set on /Format /Page : Page tab must be less than or equal to the Paper size set on /File /Print : Properties. If /Format /Page : Page tab paper size is bigger than the printer paper size, then a footer may fall off the end of the page. Whether the printer gripes about the mismatch seems to be dependent on the quality of the operating system's printer driver for the specific printer in use..
