That depends on the version of OOo/AOO. The folder name OpenOffice.org is still valid for users of OOo 3. The folder name is OpenOffice for AOO 4.helibird wrote:...please note that the folder to be renamed to .old in appdata/local/roaming is now called OpenOffice not OpenOffice.org.

The posted remedy about forcing the creation of a new OpenOffice folder fixed this same problem for me on OO4.1 and Windows 7. It does reset any customizations one has made, but they can be found saved in the renamed copy of the old OpenOffice folder, and copied over to the new one (such as custom toolbars). Thanks guys!
