[Solved] Need help with tabs

Hello everyone, I'm trying to format an ebook but don't know how to fix the tab problem. The book was originally written using the tab key to indent. I need to delete every one of these ->
and replace with tab with no symbol shown at all. I've looked/tried everything and can't figure out what to do. I know how to fix tabs on Word and on Imac software just because the info is far greater than with OO. I did find a couple places saying, click format, click paragraph, then click the tab box at the top. Well, there's no tab box at all. I'm stumped.

Or try /Edit /Find and Replace. In Find box put \t, in Replace box put nothing, drop More Options dropdown and select Regular Expressions, the Replace All.
