You can change the appearance of a hyperlink by Hyperlink Dialog (menu Edit-Hyperlink). When the hyperlink is button it open on one click
I may not have a lot to give but what I got I'll give to you...

Links will activate with a simple click, without the Ctrl key, if
• the document is opened read-only. You can click the "Edit File" button on the toolbar to toggle read-only mode.
• the document is in File > Page Preview mode
• the option Tools > Options > OOo > Security > Security options/Options > Ctrl-click required to follow hyperlinks: OFF

Re: [Solved] Open hyperlink with single click
Well, this is odd. The Ctrl-click option is switched ON but I can still open a link with a single click.

Re: [Solved] Open hyperlink with single click
Thanks! Glad to know this still works on version 4.1.
Not all of us use hyperlinks simply for web addresses, which I am pretty sure is why this security feature came about. I have a single document "Master Log" that I use here to jump to over 65 other log file documents for all sorts of computer programs and different things in use here. I mostly use hyperlinks to move between the master and one of those log files, or to get to a specific document's bookmarked entry without having to search for that content. I rarely use internet URL hyperlinks. So for me, no need for the extra hassle to hold the CTRL key down.
