Postby renareto » Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:33 pm

Hi,
I know that is possible to save a file as a 'flat' xml. But I don't know how.

Can someone help me?

TIA

I'm not certain if this will be exactly what you want, but under /File /Save As you can save as DocBook (xml) or MS Word 2003 XML (xml). If you have "Automatic file name extension" checkbox checked (recommended) then the correct extension is applied automatically.
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.7 on Xubuntu 18.04.3 (mostly 64 bit version) and very infrequently on Win2K/XP

Sorry - I can only refer you to your post of 27/01/12 and acknak's response to it, and this
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=11103 which a Google search threw up.

LibreOffice comes with the flat xml format available out of the box.

Just use File > Save As, then scroll down the list of file types to "Open Document (Flat XML) .fodt"

As far as I know, it's not difficult to get the option installed for OOo; I just don't know how it's done.

On Fedora 15, I had to install the "libreoffice-xsltfilter" from the repository. In was not part of the default installation package.

The filters are available here viewtopic.php?f=47&t=44216
