You can only do that in Draw, then cut and paste it into Writer.

Bhikkhu is light years ahead of me on this, but my personal preference is to work on a saved image outside of the word processor. That gives me a saved altered image and/or the original in case anything goes awry [which it does, from time to time.] Also, it is available for other purposes if needed down the road. Also, another advantage in what limited use I get is that I can crop and otherwise edit before placing into the document.
Platform Windows? For this I use Photofiltre, or some recommend The Gimp. There is also PaintShop Pro, and others if you want to spend a little.

I like The GIMP... also, Irfanview will crop images and rotate to any angle you specify. The GIMP is a powerful program that can take a while to load (and take a while to learn to use), while Irfanview is a little easier and faster. I run both of these portably from a USB flash drive.
Cheers!

In fact, you can do that in Writer also if the pic comes from Draw.Bhikkhu Pesala wrote:You can only do that in Draw, then cut and paste it into Writer.
