Custom page numbers--binary, for ex

This may be esoteric, but I was just wondering if binary page numbers were possible. Is there an option to write a custom function to determine the actual text of a page number?

Esoteric isn't the word you want, because OOo is open source, so nothing about it should be esoteric. Binary page numbers? My word for that would be... eccentric.

I don't know how much control you could have over page number formats without breaking what's already there.... but you might try asking in the Macros and UNO API forum. If they don't know, they might at least be able to point you to a mailing list or blog where you might find more expert help.
