[Solved] Space bar deleting letters

When I go back to edit a word in the middle of a sentence, I cannot delete one letter and add the right one. The space bar just keeps on deleting, and I can't add any spaces. Really like OpenOffice xept for this problem. Thanks!

You've somehow gotten your session into "Overwrite" mode: press the "Insert" key on your keyboard to switch back to "Insert" mode. Watch the status bar at the bottom of the Writer window: each time you press the "Insert" key, the typing mode indicator will switch between "INSRT" and "OVER" to show which typing mode you're in.
You can also change modes just by clicking on the indicator in the status bar.
