when i use the insert date field it inputs the date as month - day - year in the format 02/12/10 and i have not been able to change or modify the default format.
i want to change the field default date format to - day, day number month and year ( Fri, 12 February 2010) so that i do not have to edit it each time i use it.
any help would be appreciated

Re: fields - how to change the default date and time format
Sorry, it's not possible to change the default format.
You can change the format for the field, then save it as an AutoText (Edit > AutoText); when you insert the autotext, it will have the format you originally set. I'm not sure, though, if this will handle the fixed/variable setting properly.
