Custom Fields missing

Postby yrnath » Thu Dec 24, 2009 1:56 am

I added custom fields in OpenOffice 3.1 version and save in RTF format. But these custom fileds are missing. We are able to see in .Doc format and .odt format. Is ther any option for adding custom fields for RTF format.

There are some issues with fields and RTF (see that query on the Issue Tracker) but it looks like it should be feasible.

Can you upload a sample file (see How to attach a document here)?

They get lost in the translation to RTF. The RTF support in OOo is a bit flaky to say the least.

See this list of open issues to do with RTF: RTF Issues.

It may be that some other word processor will offer better RTF support. I have heard Abiword well spoken of in that regard,
