Hi.
I would like to know if working with the reference program EndNote is possible in OpenOffice? If yes is there anything I have to know or to check in advance?
Thank you in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

It doesn't look like EndNote supports OpenOffice.org. You (or someone) would need to suggest to them that they start to support OOo in their application.

Have you looked at Zotero? This is a free plug-in to Firefox that also has an add-in for OOo making it easy to add bibliographical references in a wide variety of formats to OOo documents.

I've had it working with 2.1.0 or thereabouts but it does not integrate into OOo as easily as it does with Word. Still, it is, well was, usable.

The publisher of EndNote is in the process of suing the University and profs who develop Zotero, which is a pretty good indication that Zotero is good enough to threaten them ;-)
