When I try to load a saved .odt file into OfficeOrg 3.0 Writer I get the following text after being prompted with a 'ASCII Filter Options' window ...
#################################################################
#################################################################
#################################################################
... I've tried selecting different Character Sets but it's all the same result.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and how can I configure Writer to load text as it was saved?

What format did you use to save the document? A common error is trying to load a file exported as PDF, but this looks like a different file format.

hello
I saved it as a .odt file. I also tried saving it as a .doc file and I get the same results, just a page full of "###############" !
Weird.

try this.
Open writer, create a new text document, type something like 'hello openoffice.org", save the file as .odt and attach it here. Also see if you can open it.
(When you are entering a post there is an upload attachment 'tab' below the edit window. Use that.)
