Have you read this: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... p?f=7&t=67 and/or this: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=50862 ?
Have you done what is suggested there? What are the results?

You don't provide enough information for a reasonable answer. In fact, you don't provide any information at all.

Giving a link to a long article on how to ask questions properly to someone who is clearly not a native English speaker is not useful. We have a Survival Guide for this forum on this forum, which everyone should read before posting.

topjosue, Orthography is not the right word to use. The title “Spell-check doesn't work" would be better.
However, this question has been asked, and answered, many times before.

The [Tutorial] Spell check and Language configuration should give you the answers that you need.

If all users would kindly add their Operating System and OpenOffice version to their signature, it would help all of us.

I agree, but the article has a bunch of links to translations that would be enough to cover over ½ of the world's population, and if the asker provided any detail about him/her, I'd gladly give a link to a suitable translation.

I always stand up for the right of everyone to use the language(s) they prefer, even in forums with another language predominant (in simple words: here, everybody has the right to speak Russian. Greek, Bantu etc.), but understanding English is essential when trying to learn something about computing (and to read some good articles ;) ).

Actually, this forum is an English-speaking forum, for the simple reason that everyone who uses the forum has at least some means to understand the communications, even if that means is a translation dictionary.

I agree that it may be very helpful for non-native-English speakers to include their language preference when posting. It's possible that another forum member can contact the poster via personal message, they can work out the problem and post the results back to the thread or post additional information and questions. Or possibly another forum exists in that member's language and someone here might be able to provide a link.

All we care about here is helping people find answers, but in order to do that, we must all use the same language initially. It's up to forum participants to provide enough information for other people to help them.
Cheers!
