Hi,
I'm a journalist and received some comments in a .docx file from my editor. When I made the corrections in OpenOffice and saved it as an .odt, the file corrupted. This had happened to me once before, so I should have learned my lesson, but someone from this forum came through and basically saved my life. Hoping for another kind favor from the board. The error message I'm getting is:
Read-Error.
Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 2,2522 (row, col).
I've attached the file, any help would be so, so appreciated.

Re: Corrupted document help
Attached is my attempt at repairing the document; I recovered three pages.
This post has a brief description of the cause of the problem, or you can see the relevant bug report which has a more comprehensive description.
As suggested to you last time you had this issue, you may consider using LibreOffice which doesn't have this problem.
You might also consider installing the Timestamped backup extension, which will allow you to make multiple, timestamped backups of your document. Note that this must be invoked separately from your normal Save.
