[Solved]Creating a hyperlink in a Text Box

Post by mjsalman »

I am using Open Office version 4.1.10 with Windows 10 and running into the following problem: With design mode on I insert a Label followed by a text box. I then turn off design mode and put some text in the text box, highlight a word and try to create a Hyperlink. In the dialog box I enter the name of the document to link to, enter some Text click on Apply then Close the dialog. What happens is that the hyperlink is created outside of the text box. I tried everything I could think of but cannot get the hyperlink to be created inside the Text Box. Would someone know if I am doing something wrong or there is a bug in the software? Thank-you Mike

Database form controls do not support hyperlinks. I have written a Python macro which adds this functionality. You store the link URL in a database column and the macro assigns the stored URL to a push button.
