[Solved] Read-Error on loaded photographs in frames

Post by pajuckett »

THANK YOU all. Solved problem by closing Open Office, reloading all pictures. Note: all pix are compressed to minimize file size. Again, thanks. I am working on a 12-page newsletter. Pictures and graphics on the first 6 pages load fine. Starting page 6-8, "Read-Error" appears in 11 of the 13 frames for the pictures. Two of the illustrations on those pages load fine. Suggestions? Thanks.

Try to share your document on a free file sharing service like the Google drive. (I suppose that the file size is too big to upload it here directly. (The file size limit is 128 KiB in this Forum.)

Without a sample document we can guessing only:

- Maybe some of the pictures has unsupported file type...
- Maybe the pictures was not optimize before you insertes them into the document, and they have too big resolution and byte-size therefore the memory (reserved to the images) is full.
- etc...

See Item 16. Lost images ... and a word of caution about using AutoRecovery. LibreOffice 6.1 and later is now probably better than AOO in [Tutorial] Some useful hints on using images.

Showing that a problem has been solved helps others searching so, if your problem is now solved, please view your first post in this thread and click the Edit button (top right in the post) and add [Solved] in front of the subject.
