Hey ya'll.
Trying to save a document. Getting this error.
Here's the file information ....
Curiously, even though the file isn't read-only, after I get that first error message, if I just click okay and then try to close the program, I get the following prompt.
I've found that if I copy the entire document over to a new doc and save it....it will save, but curiously, the new document indicates it has significantly less pages than the original doc that wouldn't save.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I lost 2 hours of work yesterday b/c it didn't save.

Re: Write Error
Hi !
I navigated to the edit tab and didn't see anything entitled "track changes".
I did see "changes". I took a screenshot of what it is set to. I'm not sure if this is what you're referencing.
Btw....the quick fix of creating a new file and copying everything over to it ended up not working. I lost all the work again and got the same error message as my first post.
Now, what I think I've done to "solve" the issue is I've split the document up onto three separate docs.
It's about 250 pages worth of writing altogether with screenshotted pictures interlaid throughout. It was beginning to take about 15 seconds to save even though it was only 80MB before it began coming up with the error in my first post.
Splitting it up into three documents seems to have made the error message go away and it hasn't crashed in the last couple days, but of course, it's not ideal and has been a disappointing experience overall.

Search the forum with error writing sub-document for many hits.
eg see [Solved] Error in writing sub-document content.xml where a program starting when the PC starts was interfering.

Re: Error in writing sub-document content.xml
As John_Ha says; you might also use a Master Document to combine the three sections.
As you have pictures, these should not be over-sized/over-resolution. They should each be cropped as desired in an external graphics editor, and their resolution (for print) need be no greater than 150-210 dpi. This can also be carried out in an external graphics editor.
