Hi John_Ha, great job you did with Travsters dissertation.
I have done the same misdeed and now I cannot access my document
It's my wife's master thesis introduction. Can you help unlock it?
I am supposed to be OK tech savvy, since I am a CS graduate, so you are also welcome to tell me what to do.
Best regards from Denmark,
Christian

Re: [Solved] Format error in sub-document content
Thank you David! It looks great.
While I was waiting for my post to be approved I used this guide to solve it myself: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1532&hilit=error+discovered#p6228
It worked, but did not end up as presentable as your fixed doc!
Thanks again, Christian

There is a Writer Tutorial describing exactly how to repair files with these errors.

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.
Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.

Yes, it is set using /View /Web layout. In /View /Print layout it resolves to three pagesrobleyd wrote:See how the attached file looks - it only seems to have one page??
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.15 on Xubuntu 22.04.4 LTS
Re: [Solved] Format error in sub-document content
<Facepalm> I didn't notice that - web view usually fills the full width of my Writer window, where this didn't. Ah, I see - View | Comments is enabled and Edit | Changes |Show disabled.
