[Solved] Format error in sub-document content

Post by Baunbaun »

Hi John_Ha, great job you did with Travsters dissertation.
I have done the same misdeed and now I cannot access my document
It's my wife's master thesis introduction. Can you help unlock it?
I am supposed to be OK tech savvy, since I am a CS graduate, so you are also welcome to tell me what to do.
Best regards from Denmark,
Christian

Thank you David! It looks great.

While I was waiting for my post to be approved I used this guide to solve it myself: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1532&hilit=error+discovered#p6228
It worked, but did not end up as presentable as your fixed doc!

Thanks again, Christian

There is a Writer Tutorial describing exactly how to repair files with these errors.
LO 6.4.4.2, Windows 10 Home 64 bit

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.

Yes, it is set using /View /Web layout. In /View /Print layout it resolves to three pages

<Facepalm> I didn't notice that - web view usually fills the full width of my Writer window, where this didn't. Ah, I see - View | Comments is enabled and Edit | Changes |Show disabled.
