[Dropped] Save macro only
Editing basic macro ...
Can't figure how to save only that, without saving document that contains that macro ?

Re: Save macro only ?
Have you tried to save in "My macros"?
See if that helps: [Solved] How can I delete a macro from a document.
Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the *EDIT button if your issue has been fixed.

Re: Save macro only ?
In macro editing window
at top (which is at it looks like document thing, not current macro thing):
tools/macros/organise macros/OO office basic/select my macro
or even then select 'organizer' - there is no SAVE button, only delete.
I would suggest that compile button would also save (with a message that it saved macro - in case code is correct). It appears it does not do so.
Considerations(pops up having big document where macro is doing tons of things that takes time):
1. One does not want to do File/Reload and also reload macro that has been just edited/not saved
2. One does not want to run just edited macro (lenghty), that was already run (previou version). Want to reload document only, not it's macro.

Re: Save macro only ?
Open your document.
Tools>Macros>Organize>Basic...
Button [Organizer...]
Open "My Macros", so you can see the "Standard" library under "My Macros".
Open your document's container and the library with your module.
Drag&Drop the module to MyMacros>Standard. Use Ctrl+Drag&Drop in order to copy the module instead of moving.

Re: Save macro only ?
In the Macro editor there is a Save entry on the File menu.; this will not become active (dark)until you have entered something into the macro editor.

Re: Save macro only ?
menu:File>Export Basic... produces a plain text file from the active module.

Re: Save macro only ?
EDIT! : I see what you mean now , but that saves all together macro and document. I don't want that, I want only macro to be saved.RoryOF wrote:In the Macro editor there is a Save entry on the File menu.; this will not become active (dark)until you have entered something into the macro editor.
Where is that ?

Re: Save macro only ?
found that, but that does only copy of code and not to where I want it - inside executable code - normal macro (in my case saved inside current document as it is part of it.). See OP.Villeroy wrote:menu:File>Export Basic... produces a plain text file from the active module.

Re: Save macro only ?
To recuperate:
When I do File/Reload
I want only document to be reloaded, don't want macro within it to be reloaded, want to keep macro as it is at that point in macro editor.

Re: Save macro only ?
Have you tried to move the macro from the document to the standard library (that is in fact in your AOO user profile)? That's the first post from Villeroy.
If it doesn't answer your question, then I don't understand what you're trying to do.
