[Solved] Sending a newsletter attachment
I've created a newsletter using an Open Office template. When I send it as an attachment on email it will only open on receipt with some text overlaying other text and is not readable. How can I resolve this?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
If it is a newsletter, then send a PDF.

Thnx Hagar
I don't have the software to convert to PDF. The open office ODF behaves in the same way as odt ie text some text overlaying other text when opened by everyone receiving the email

AOO does export to PDF. There is a button in the toolbar for that. Or menu File > Export As > Export as PDF.

ahha! big thanx Hagar! - sorted (from File menu)
For future reference for anyone else, unless you pay the subscription fee to be able to edit a PDF and work on your document in that format, you have to convert your final version, as you won't be able to amend or edit anything once it is converted to PDF

We tell this all the time about PDF format: it is intended as a display only format, so one should keep the final .odt file if further editing will be required, and distribute only the derived PDF.
