[Solved] Extraneous spaces occurring in document
[Solved] Extraneous spaces occurring in document
As I'm typing, unwanted spaces keep occurring in my document, which is being saved in Word format. They can appear in the middle of as well as between words. The document is justified left so I cannot understand how these extraneous spaces appear without my hitting the space bar. Even when I am not typing I've noticed a space appear by itself. I'm using Dragon dictation software but, of course not in Write. I'm dictating to DragonPad then copying and pasting.

Is your dictation software still turned on when you do the copy and paste and whatever else in Writer?

Faulty keyboard? Try typing in Notepad or an email.
Do you have Tools > Autocorrect ..., set up to add spaces as in, say, replace "th" by "th "?

Re: Extraneous spaces occurring in document
Silly me! I think I might well have had dictation software open at the time. But as it doesn't usually register anything in OO it didn't click for that might be the problem. Many thanks for the reply and sorry to trouble you.
