I'm formatting a poetry book in which I've given the poem titles in heading 1 and the date they were written in heading 2, to stand apart from the default text of the poems.
I want only heading 1 to show up in the index. My understanding is that this should be done by clicking 1 under 'level' in the edit TOC dialogue box. Doing so isn't working.
What else should I be doing, short of just re-do the dates to default text?

Re: Make TOC show ONLY header 1
Right click on the TOC and select Edit Index/Table. On the Index/Table tab of the dialog, set the Evaluate Up To Level box to 1.

Thank you! The tab was actually called TYPE, but that worked perfectly!
