Unable to open my document: ASCII Filter dialog

 Edit: Split from ASCII Filter Option since this is a new question from a new person and while the symptom may be similiar, the problem could be different. 
Hi. I have the same problem, the solutions mentioned didnt work. Can you help me please?

There is no data in your file - please see [Tutorial] How to find and un-delete AOO/LO temporary files for some ways to try and recover any temporary files OpenOffice may have created.

The problem was caused by the PC hanging or crashing while AOO was writing the file.

See Why is my file full of #####? below for an explanation of .odt files which give the ASCII Filter option when you open them - they are full of ######.
