[Solved] Fill-able doc converted to fill-able pdf

Post by malk415 »

SOLVED..... gave up and am going to try the free trial version of Acrobat.

Gents:
I created a fill-able document in writer and it works fine. When I export it as a fill-able pdf the letters typed in the fill-able box are cut off at the top.
They are in the center of the box in open office but not when it is converted.
I attached both documents. Cannot figure out what is wrong.

Increase the height of the fields and set the Vert. Alignment to Middle instead of bottom.
Strange that there is no parameter to configure the spacing with the border.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the *EDIT button if your issue has been fixed.

If I click inside the text boxes on the form in the pdf file, it looks like padding is added inside the text boxes in the pdf file. This effectively reduces the space available for text, resulting in the text being clipped. I can't find a setting that changes the padding, so all I can suggest is to make the text boxes larger or make the text smaller. I had to increase the box height from .28" to .33" to stop the text from being clipped.
