Reformats when printing

When trying to print. the file will be just what I want. I hit print button and the whole page re-formats itself! WTF?

What happens if in OpenOffice you use /File /Export as PDF; does that file look correct, and does it print correctly?

I've moved your topic from General Discussion to Writer. Just to make sure, you're talking about a text document with Writer?

What kind of file? Text? Drawing? Spreadsheet? What is the file format? Screenshots might help understand the problem. A sample document would be better.
