Creating a function key shortcut

Post by asu2000 »

Daily, I insert graphics into my documents. When I need to insert a image file, I have to click on "Insert/Picture/From File" in the toolbar. How can I create a one step Function key or toolbar shortcut, to create the Picture file manager window to pop-up?

  • Select menu item Tools - Customize, tab Keyboard
  • In the top pane, scroll down to an available hotkey combo (or one whose existing function you can do without).
  • Assign the specific function using the lower panes.
    • In the left pane, select Insert
    • In the middle pane, select From file...
    • Click the Modify button.
The assigned key/combo should show up in the lower right pane, and the assigned function at the key entry in the top pane.
  • Click OK

You can also add the button in the toolbar. Quite almost the same steps as explained above.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the *EDIT button if your issue has been fixed.
