[Solved] Easy way to replace one picture with another?

Post by Jeff Root »

I may have been using MS Word when I saw an easy way to
replace a picture with another. My old and new pictures
have the same dimensions, so if a replace function exists
in Open Office Writer, I will use it rather than deleting
the existing image, inserting a new one, and adjusting
the scale and border to match the old picture.

I also use the replace picture feature in MS Word but I've never seen anything similar in AOO so far.

Select the picture. Then replace it with Insert → Picture → From file.

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

Wow, so trivial!
Works also with the icon when the command is on the toolbar.
Size of the original pic is kept however. In MS Word, it keeps the width and it adjusts the height IIRC to keep the new pic size ratio.
