Aligning the right side streight in a paragraph?

Post by Darren N »

I am about to publish a book but need help on the correct formatting.

Attached is an image of two pages.

The page on the left shows that the words on the OpenOffice document are not aligned on the right emargin. I need it to look like the published book page on the right. All of the words line up on both the right and left margins. The text is in the shape of a symmetrical rectangle. This is how I need my book pages to look.

How do I do this in OpenOffice?

Set "Justified" on the "Alignment" tab on the paragraph styles used. Also, on that tab, leave "last line" set to left.

You may find it of use to read some instructions for guidance.
