Centering document after scaling

I have an 8.5" x 14" “legal” document (.odt) that I scaled to 8.5" x 11" “letter” and printed. It reduces fine but is not centered on the page after printing, it is shifted to the far left of the printed page. I’m guessing this could be a printing / margin issue. How do I get this document to be centered on the page?

It’s just a standard writer document in .odt format, it’s a lease agreement normally printed on 8.5” x 14” paper. I found how to shrink it (scaling) but the document is not centered on the printed page.

Do you mean the print preview or the real printed paper?

You may have accidentally turned on the multi-page view, therefore the page appeared on the right/left side on the screen.

I found how to shrink it (scaling) but the document is not centered on the printed page.

Please tell us how you did it. I can't find an option in Apache OpenOffice or LibreOffice that would shrink a document for printing. If that's a printer option supplied by the printer, then the option to center the document would also have to be supplied by the printer.

I agree with Bill, then you have changed a view setting not "shrunk the page.

Bring up the Stylist (F-11) go to the Page Style, 4th icon from the left and select the default Style (right click) and choose Modify.
What format do you see? If it is "Legal" you need to change it to "Letter".

You will likely have to do some reformatting after the change.
