Created a new document with a table with 3 columns and twelve rows. Inserted the text .223, clicked in the next cell and the text I just entered changed to 0.22.

HELP!

Welcome to the Forums.
Did you format the column that the entry was entered? If you did, then what you see will change to look like what you used as a format. The actual entry itself will still be recognized as .223 so if you do any math with that number, the math will work with all 3 digits, not just the two being displayed.

HELP is not good for a title. We knows that you need help.

Try a search in this forum on "number format recognition".

Sorry, did not know what to put in the title area.
Edit: I created another topic title for you. — MrProgrammer, forum Moderator, 2020-02-20 09:17 UTC

Thanks for changing the topic tile for me.

I did figure this out.

I highlighted all the cells in my table and unchecked the "Number Recognition" option and that fixed the problem.

(I've made this type of document before and never had this issue.)
