4.1.7 not working right

Had issues with 4.1.6 so I updated, it's worse. All the pages come up with editing highlights and won't save any changes.

Are any items selected in the menu Edit -> Changes? Try deselecting anything that is selected. If that does not help, can you upload the document? To do that, click Post Reply and look for the Upload Attachment tab under the box where you type a response.

Every attempt either does not work or won't show the problem in OpenOffice Word. So I went with a competitor, it at least works properly and saves my changes.

Do you mean the OpenOffice Writer application, or some MS Word (.doc, .docx) type files?

Extremely silly thinking on your part as AOO works for millions and millions of others so there is quite obviously something wrong either with you, your way of working or your PC.

OpenOffice does not have a Word component so not quite sure what you are talking about.

It worked fine until my last backup, then it went crazy. If you can offer a fix that works I'll stay with OpenOffice.

Are you using Windows 7 or Windows 10?

Windows 7, have used Ubuntu but not most recent version.
