[Solved] Table of Contents Boundary

Post by markWA »

Lately when I open Writer. I have a new boundary (a thin gray line outlining the boundary) around the Table of Contents and footer frames. I have yet to figure out how to turn them off.

These were not there before. And I have clicked and right clicked everything.

I have tried: View > Text Boundaries
Table of Contents Boundary2.PNG
I created a new "Indexes and Tables" and this what I get.
Table of Contents Boundary3.PNG
Table of Contents Boundary3.PNG (4.36 KiB) Viewed 3626 times
View > Field Shadings did not turn off the shading

I got the same result on my laptop:

Within the document, select the insertion point.
Insert > Indexes and Tables > Indexes and Tables... > OK

Create a section title, for example: "Introduction".
Select the title > F11(Styles and Formatting) > double click Heading 1.

Update Table of Contents
Hover cursor over "Table of Contents" > (right-click) > Update Index/Table

[Solved]
Set Custom colors:
Tools > Options > (level 1) OpenOffice > (level 2) Appearance > (section) Custom colors > (uncheck all that apply) > OK

Thanks Everyone!

Uncheck /View /Text Boundaries. These are visible on-screen, but don't print.

In LibreOffice, I can remove both the background and the borders with Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Application colors and uncheck Text boundaries and Index and table shadings.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the *EDIT button if your issue has been fixed.
