Hi all, would like to apologize if the similar issue has been solved before. I create columns in the Open Office Writer and I can perfectly type words in those columns. However, when I reach at the end of my columns, I suddenly unable to type at the empty space below the column.
Can someone help? Thanks!

Re: Cannot Type in Empty Space
How are you defining your columns? are you using a Section or a table? If a Section, turn on /View /non printing characters, position cursor as very last character in the section and press Alt Enter to exit the section to the area below it.

Re: Cannot Type in Empty Space
The Status Bar indicates that the insertion point is in a table. It's not visible in the screen shot. Are the "columns" at the top of the page section columns, page columns or table columns? View > Nonprinting characters hasn't been turned on, so it's impossible to tell if there is an empty paragraph in the area below the columns. There is apparently another page following the page shown in the screen shot, but no mention of whether text can be typed on that page. Without a real document, all we can do is guess about the problem.

Not at all.John_Ha wrote:The document is in READ ONLY mode
The icon IS active. If in read_only, you would not see the language in the status bar.
Put your cursor in the last cell and hit Alt+Enter.
If it works, it means that there has been some trick that removed the paragraph after the table. Usually, a table is followed by a blank paragraph. There are tricks to remove them but I don't think they can be applied involuntarily.
Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the edit button if your issue has been fixed.
