Happy 2018
I entered "2 Sept 1692" in a date field several times, the value showed as "Sat, Dec 30, 1899"
Many dates I've entered prior, showed correctly.

Re: Date field twisted
It seems that Base will not accept abbreviated month names in input. You need to type it in full - "September" - or use the month number (with proper delimiters) instead.
You can specify abbreviated month name in the format for the field, but that format is only used for output, not as an "input mask".

Re: Date field twisted
A formatted form control accepts the same input patterns as a spreadsheet cell, including "2 Sep" and "2 September" but not "2 Sept"
