[Solved] Printing query results

Post by wghamm »

This must be a stupid question, since I can't find any reference to anyone else asking it!
Why am I unable to print the results of a query? The printer icon is grayed out.
Is this by design (if so, why?) or is my setup faulty?

If I wanted to accomplish this 'operation' as you have described . . . I would use the best of the OpenOffice Suite, that is, the tools from both, Calc and Base. I would do it this way.
  1. Open a Calc Sheet
  2. Press F4 OR from the Menu: View -> Data Sources
  3. Navigate to the database and table, view, or query
  4. Right click on the item ( table, view, or query ) and choose Copy from the menu
  5. In the Calc sheet . . . click on the cell you want to 'start' the data
  6. Ctrl + V OR from the Menu: Edit -> Paste
You now have available . . . your data . . . AND . . . in Calc . . . you can print it, and, format the page ( with header, footer etc). ;)

I hope this helps, please be sure to let me / us know.
